***DRAFT*** IPNI Annual Photo Contest Returns


May 26, 2017. Penang, Malaysia – Dust off your cameras and smartphones! The International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) annual photo contest is back for 2017. We want to see more from you talented shutterbugs.

From now to December 5, 2017, submit your best photos in any of these four categories for major crops worldwide:
    1. 4R Nutrient Stewardship - the best use of crop nutrients with in-the-field examples of 4R Nutrient Stewardship;
    2. Primary Nutrient Deficiencies – which include nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K);
    3. Secondary Nutrient Deficiencies – which include sulfur (S), calcium (Ca), and magnesium (Mg);
    4. Micro Nutrient Deficiencies – which include boron (B), copper (Cu), chloride (Cl-), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), and zinc (Zn).

For each category, the first prize winner will be awarded a cash prize of US$150 and second prize, US$100. Winners shall be announced in early 2018. View past winners for an idea of what to expect.

Entries will be judged on the best photo-caption combination by a special panel of IPNI scientists. While there is no entry fee, please note each person is allowed to submit only one (1) photo per category electronically via Submit Entry Form.
