In this webinar, Dr. Hsiao-Hang Tao explained the use of empty fruit bunches, a recycled oil palm mill by-product, as an organic fertilizer and mulch substrate in oil palm plantations. She described how crop residue management may enhance sustainable intensification of oil palm, by increasing soil ecosystem functions and enhancing crop yield.
