WEBINAR Recording : High Oil Extraction Rate (OER) Does Not Necessarily Mean High Oil Yield

by Mr. Christopher Richard Donough

Palm oil producers judge their mills using the oil extraction rate (OER) but do so without any idea how much oil is in the fresh fruit bunches (FFB) that are milled.

In this webinar, Mr. Christopher Donough discussed how IPNI Southeast Asia Program has shown that best management practices (BMP) for high FFB yield are not linked to OER, in fact the contrary may occur, but higher FFB yield with BMP will give higher yield of oil even if OER is lower.
