2012 Chickpea phase
The site used in 2010 (canola) and 2011 (wheat) was sown to chickpeas in 2012, using the same replicated design for each group of agronomists. As in previous years, the agronomists selected cultivar, crop protection and crop management strategies as they saw fit, as well as selecting some marketing options.
The yield results for 2012 are shown in the table below:
Data from the 2012 season will be collated for presentation to the participants, and the three years of data will be assessed to consider the rotational gross margins for the different agronomy teams.
