LUXI Fertilizer Industry Group joins the International Plant Nutrition Institute


May 28, 2015 – Peachtree Corners, GA, USA - China based LUXI Fertilizer Industry Group has joined the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) as an Associate Member. The IPNI Board of Directors approved the joining of LUXI Fertilizer Industry Group at its annual meeting held in Istanbul, Turkey, on May 24, 2015.

“We are very interested in IPNI program activities, especially 4R Nutrient Management and Nutrient Expert® based fertilizer recommendations, both of which are important to help increase grain yield and nutrient use efficiency,” said LUXI Board Chair Mr. Jincheng Zhang. “We sincerely look forward to working with IPNI on nutrient management techniques that can make contributions to sustainable development of China’s agriculture,” said Zhang.

LUXI Group began in 1992 as LUXI Fertilizer Plant. LUXI Chemical Group Co., Ltd. was formed in 1998. Today, LUXI Fertilizer Industry Group is an independent management group that consists of three factories, which produce 1.8 million tons of compound fertilizer per year.

“We look forward to working with LUXI Fertilizer Industry Group to address the challenges facing China agriculture,” said IPNI President Dr. Terry Roberts. “Both organizations share an interest in advancing 4R Nutrient Stewardship management practices and expanding the reach of the Nutrient Expert® support tool,” said Roberts.
