Spanish Version of Southern Forages Book is Now Available
Nov 1, 2013 – Peachtree Corners, Georgia, U.S. – The International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) has recently released Forrajes De Las Américas, a Spanish translation of the 4th Edition of Southern Forages.
Forrajes De Las Américas emphasizes practical aspects of forage establishment, production, and utilization, and is well suited as a field manual or textbook for forage courses in colleges and universities. It remains a modern, practical book that is written with the practitioner and student in mind.
As has been proven with the English and other translations of Southern Forages (Polish and Chinese), the concepts discussed in this book apply to forage species grown virtually anywhere in the world.
Forrajes De Las Américas is of great value to livestock producers, wildlife managers, agricultural extension agents, Natural Resources Conservation Service personnel, vocational agriculture teachers, agricultural input and equipment dealers, consultants, students, and others interested in forage crops.
The book is authored by Dr. Don Ball, Auburn University; Dr. Carl Hoveland, University of Georgia; and Dr. Garry Lacefield, University of Kentucky and has been translated into Spanish by Dr. Yoana Newman, University of Florida and Dr. Rocky Lemus, Mississippi State University. The book was first published in 1991 and has become a standard among farmers, educators, horse owners, individuals managing wildlife plots, and many others.
